Iron Ridge Forge Custom Knives
Quality Blades, One at a Time

About Iron Ridge Forge
I've been making knives out of my shop in Appalachia for close to five years. Every Blade is hand forged at the anvil with precision and finesse, gaurenteeing a finished product that performs to the best of its capabilities. Every blade is finished with attention to detail that produces a one of a kind piece every time. Each Blade looks good enough to put on your desk, and performs well enough to stake your life on it in the backcountry.
A knife is a very special tool, one which connects man to his roots as a hunter and survivalist. It's utility is as endless as it's variety, and I would consider it a quintessential component of any hunter's pack, trekking kit, or chef's kitchen. My grandfather was a plumber, and my father built post and beam barns in his youth. My family is one of craftsman and outdoorsmen, giving me a unique perspective, knowing both what makes a knife effective and comfortable to use in the backcountry, and the practical skills to make it happen.

Covid-19 Response
Due to the dangers associated with the cover-19 pandemic, all blades are kept, untouched, in their boxes for 36 hours before ship out , to ensure the safety of my clients. I would also advise clients to sanitize the exteriors of boxes after receiving them through the mail. Additionally, I will be donating 10 percent of profits from kitchen knives to the giving kitchen, a charity that supports food service workers affected by the pandemic.

Custom Orders
How do I make an inquiry?
In order to contact me with a request for a custom order, email me at ironridgeforge@gmail.com. I will respond within 1-3 business days. You could also contact me through instagram (@Iron_Ridge_Forge), or through my facebook page of the same name. The process of making a custom order starts with correspondence between me and the customer, in which one might relay to me what they are looking for, steel, handle material, profile, and so on. I will then create a concept sketch of the blade and tweak it as requested. Throughout the process that follows, I contact the client with regular updates. My books are open at the moment, so feel free to contact me with any inquiries. Payment is done through PayPal and is requested right before ship out. My pricing works as follows: 26 UDS per inch, plus an additional charge depending on what handle material is requested. Below are some previous custom orders that I have done.
